Amazon is…
1. Amazon is facilitating Israel’s crimes against Palestinians through services to the Israeli military
2. Amazon and Google provide cloud computing services to the Israeli military through Project Nimbus, a multi-million dollar contract that is central to the Israel Defense Forces as they commit genocide in Gaza.
3. Israel is moving towards the removal of Palestinians from all of Gaza. This action mirrors the infamous Nakba, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were removed from their land in 1948.
“Amazon Web Services is a prime driver of Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) incarceration and deportation regime by providing ICE with a host of data storage and identification services. ICE cannot wage its war against immigrants without the critical infrastructure support provided by tech corporations like Amazon.”
Two specific services that Amazon provides to ICE: the sale of facial recognition software to law enforcement (marketed as Amazon Web Services Recognition), and the sale of AWS cloud services to Palantir (a data analytics firm that provides “mission critical” software to ICE).
Amazon’s Recognition software was the beginning of automated mass surveillance in America. Palantir, meanwhile, has been working with ICE since 2014, and helps the agency manage the stacks of personal data needed to target and deport individuals.

Bezos has put a stranglehold on the editorial content of the Washington Post. The Washington Post carried out a widespread round of layoffs on Wednesday that decimated the organization’s sports, local news and international coverage (NYTimes-Mullin, Roberson&Wemple_2/4/2026).
Over 1 million people work for Amazon across the United States, making it the second largest private employer in the country. There are more than 30 Amazon warehouses in Maryland alone.
While tripling profits in early 2024, Amazon surveils and pressures drivers and warehouse workers to extract as much of their labor as possible.
As a result, Amazon’s worker injury rate is twice as high as similar companies, and the company has racked up more than US$250 million in fines for privacy, occupational health and safety, wage, and environmental violation cases filed by workers across sectors.
When its workers organize to defend themselves, Amazon plays dirty:
—They refuse to recognize the Amazon Labor Union in Staten Island, NY that has been waiting to bargain for warehouse workers since 2022,
—And they cancel Amazon drivers’ contracts like in Glendale, California in 2023 rather than recognize them as employees.
–Amazon warehouse workers at the DMD9 delivery station in Upper Marlboro, MD were terminated for their roles in collecting signatures for two petitions and encouraging others to participate in a walkout
–Amazon drivers in Maryland walked off the job March 16, 2024 to demand a $3/hour wage increase, meanwhile Amazon pays tens of millions of dollars on anti-union consultants.
