Our Mission and Vision
Indivisible Route 1 Corridor envisions a future where American democracy reaches the potential laid out in our founding documents: a government of, by, and for the people, with equality under the law, and liberty and justice for all. As part of the national Indivisible network, we build people power to advocate for a progressive, pro-democracy agenda and turn the tide against authoritarianism. A core principle of Indivisible is a commitment to non-violent action.
Indivisible Route 1 Corridor supports an advocacy community in the Route 1 corridor of Northern Prince George’s County, MD. We are not a branch of any political party; we welcome anyone who is dedicated to countering authoritarianism and improving our democracy. Our grassroots power comes from working in solidarity and in coalition with others. Together, we hope to build a thriving community that withstands authoritarian attacks against us and our neighbors.
Our Strategies
To achieve our mission, Indivisible R1C:
1. Strengthens community connections through frequent, in-person meetings.
2. Plans and attends local organizing events together
3. Provides direction for at-home activism and activities.

Indivisible is a grassroots organization dedicated to transforming democracy by promoting local activism. We’re the Route 1 Corridor branch, we unite residents to resist the Trump agenda while advocating for progressive policies through organized community efforts and open dialogue.

A Journey of Grassroots Activism and Democracy
Rt 1 Corridor Indivisible was created to bring our community together in response to the challenges of hate, division, and anti-democratic actions following the 2024 election. As a grassroots organization, we empower neighbors to collaborate, share ideas, and advocate for policies that reflect our shared progressive values through community engagement and action.By fostering connection and inclusivity, Rt 1 Corridor Indivisible encourages local citizens to take an active role in shaping a more equitable and democratic future for everyone.
